Occupations Theme

There are many ways that people can be helpful. One way is by volunteering time to help others. Cub Scouts, Scout leaders, and coaches are examples of volunteers. Another way people help is by doing jobs that provide a service. Celebrate those who help out in their homes, schools, and communities. Explore career possibilities. Host a pack career fair, inviting several adults to share what they do for a living and how these career opportunities might change as you grow up and technology advances. Discover how having a positive attitude is essential in reaching career goals. Den meeting plans could include field trips to learn about different occupations of interest to the Cub Scouts and playing games centered on different jobs. For those future astronauts, this is a perfect time for a space derby!

The volunteer committee is working on updating these resources with the most recent advancement changes, including the addition of girls and Lions. If you find any errors, suggestions for changes, improvements, or additional ideas, let us know.
